What About Privacy & Security Features?

Hello ... just learned about your distro from https://news.itsfoss.com/new-distros-2023/

I'm a Linux end-user (not geek, dev or tech-meister). I also am a huge fan of Windows 7---which I use in my "legacy" life. I still have a Win7 machine (but offline now).

So can you describe more about its privacy & security features? Are there any built-in features going beyond what is standard to Debian 11?

For example, I'm using Robolinux which features MAC changer, stealth Windows VM, hardened browser (Librewolf).

Thank you, KumanderTeam.

Hello there and welcome to the forum.

Cool, thanks for the heads up about Kumander Linux in the news. Had no idea.

As of now, we have not added any security features. So it is exactly the same as it would be in a stock Debian 11. I am not sure if we'd like to do that in the future. I will look into it.

We did, however, remove the constant need of writing your password, for example when installing apps from the Software Center/Synaptic and also when using apt in the Terminal window.

This is how I would always setup my Windows 7 back in the day, and I think it is just fine for Kumander Linux as well.

Roy
