It sure sounds like a lot of work, Roy. However, Kumander is such a good distro that I'm sure it is worth the effort. I've got 24 Linux drives and Kumander is my favorite at this time. As for things getting changed by updates, I guess I haven't looked close enough because I didn't notice any change ...

I did a fresh install of 1.1 last night, ran sudo apt-mark hold libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37 before taking all available updates and everything was fine.

That was it! Synaptic says no mo' updates available after taking 117 without a hiccup.
I think 1.1 should be OK too unless you know of other problems (?).

Well, I downloaded 1.0, installed it on two of my pc's, one AMD and one Intel based and then upgraded both installs from terminal with "sudo apt upgrade". Upon reboot, same blank screen with blinking cursor (no login screen). Something in this list of files kills Kumander............. C:/h...
