Re: Installation or live mode

Hello there and welcome to the forum. Yes, I have already had a fair look at Calamares. But I am not sure it will play well with the Debian installer in the boot menu. I think it might need a whole other set of binaries to do the install, making the resulting ISO file much bigger than needed. Howeve...

Re: Games

Hello and welcome to the forum. Thank you for the suggestions, I will certainly do my best to add these games for the final 1.0 release. Actually, it already has Spider Solitaire. Open "Games->AisleRiot Solitaire" in the Start menu. Then click "Game->Select Game..." and you will ...

Re: Installation or live mode

Greetings from the Philippines and welcome to the forum.

I was actually considering adding an install option to the live mode, but I didn't get to it yet. Hopefully it will be added to the final 1.0 release.

For now, the only way to install Kumander Linux is using the boot option.

Roy

Re: Restart & Update

I am not really sure what might be the deal with Software Center not updating tbh. I personally don't use it much. Noted on the Thunderbird issue, will have a look at that. And yes, it is by design that you don't have to write your password when doing apt-get update/upgrade/install. Same goes for in...

Re: What About Privacy & Security Features?

Hello there and welcome to the forum. Cool, thanks for the heads up about Kumander Linux in the news. Had no idea. As of now, we have not added any security features. So it is exactly the same as it would be in a stock Debian 11. I am not sure if we'd like to do that in the future. I will look into ...

Re: Hey Roy

You are most welcome.

And yes, Jack Tramiel and Commodore really ruled the world of home computers back in the 80s. Such an interesting story, it's a shame it is not being told today.

Thank you and same to you!

Re: Hey Roy

Hello Nucleus and welcome to the forum. I checked your link and the videos in the Video section. Kudos to you, looks pretty advanced. Cool name and logo for the project also. There is no private messaging system here yet, so no need to do other testing. And FYI, there is also no email notification o...
