Kumander Linux is built straight on top of standard Debian, which uses the 6.1 LTS kernel for Debian 12 by default.

The current version of the kernel in the latest Debian (12.8) is 6.1.0-28. So as far as Debian goes, you should be up to date.

I think you simply need to edit the file /usr/share/lightdm-webkit/themes/kumander/index.html. And perhaps - as you said - the CSS file. That's one thing I like about the webkit2 login system.
